My secret time in Ohio

1/10/2020

After St. Louis I actually took another trip that I never really told anybody about. I went to a children's park called Highfield Discovery Garden. Luckily it was just cold enough to keep out most of the children. I had the park completely to myself. I saw a family walking in as I was leaving.

And for those of you wondering how I managed to take pictures of myself while all alone, I used the timer on my phone and my shoe. I used one of my shoes to hold my phone and then hobbled into frame. Jumping on top of the mushroom within 10 seconds while wearing only one shoe was hands down the most challenging part of my adventure. And yes, it did take many tries. :P

Fun fact: This guy's name is Casper. And he's super photogenic!
My dog actually really hates the dog park. Every once in awhile I'll bring her anyways because I like seeing other dogs and I'm hoping one day I'll be able to convince her to be more social. So far the plan is not going over well. I have to carry her in my special hoodie with a pet pocket the entire time we're there other wise she'll lose her mind.

Despite her complaining I did manage to take a few pictures of other dogs there.

Solo Trip to St. Louis

A couple of weeks ago I had several days off in a row so I decided to go somewhere, anywhere. I asked around questioning my friends where I should go and while they all gave me great ideas it was something my mom said that inspired me. I asked her where to go and we chatted back and forth and then as the subject was nearly dropped out of the blue she goes, "There's a lot to do in Missouri!" This struck me as kind of an odd statement because all I knew about Missouri was that it had the Gateway Arch but I was intrigued so I looked into it. And the more I looked the more I saw.

The one the only, Gateway Arch! What a beautiful photo right? You'd never know that it was freezing that day. Ha.

What is in a name?

I got a label maker for Christmas. I feel as though I was entrusted with far too much power. Right away I started labeling things with what I felt like were their true names. A chair became butt shelf, refrigerator became cold box, etc. To see more of these unique names check out the video below. Keep an eye out for the Little Mermaid and Crocodile Dundee reference!
See everything labeled in this video below.
